Anawangin Cove ii

2:26 AM

This has been my second trip to Anawangin Cove, and it was a better one from the first. Rather than going through the grueling trek, 4 of my friends drove to Zambales at 4AM and took a boat ride towards the cove. Spent the afternoon playing cards and listening to Alternative OPM, waiting for the
golden hour to come through to start the short hike to a small hill for a better view of the sunset and the entire cove. It was a night of Bisaya humor and unexpected intellectual conversations over Gin. Waking up was surprisingly not difficult after a night of excessive drinking and English-speaking conversations, especially when we had to hop on to another island for some quick snaps. Heading off to San Felipe for Day 2 PM, having lunch at relatively the best restaurant we found so far, i mean by best is that they have these good Buffalo Wings and a staff who was kind enough to help us bring my sand-swallowed car back to life.

Destinations like these make me miss home and its proximity to a lot of points of interest. Of how spending a quick afternoon at the beach, or horseback rides up in a cold mountain that's just an hour away. The city life is as interesting as the "provincial life", but maybe at this point maybe i need more of the latter for now.
