Pastel Dreams at Myrtle Beach
4:19 AMMyrtle Beach was our first destination a few days after our arrival. We were supposed to stay the night in one of the hotels but we ended up deciding making most of the day sightseeing. It was a bit unfortunate that we had little time to enjoy the beach and its boulevard since we were ecstatic on getting inside every Tanger Outlet Store. Shopping was such a distraction that it took us 6 hours to get the list of stores done. I had to silently wail in regret for almost missing the Atlantic Ocean view and partly for wearing boots while everyone's in tank tops and board shorts.
I still managed to capture photos while the day was still generous enough to give off some sunshine at 6 P.M. Walking was definitely not a option, so we drove along the boulevard and it was an endless cruise of aesthetics: Dainty hotels, witty bars and cafes, colossal wall art, little beach houses with pastel themes and, of course, the abundance of Palmetto trees. It comes to life as the sky jives with its hues of pastel pink and purple. The last thing we did before we had to go was to sit on the sand nearby the pier and watch the city glows with neon lights.
With little time spent at Myrtle Beach, I've figured out that buying a beach house was a good idea if ever I'd get to win in a lottery.
