Midnights at New York City

2:05 AM

Our travels were always in fast pace since we only have less than 3 weeks to travel in the United States, like spending 36 hours in New York City. We traveled by bus from Washington and arrived by midnight. It's true of what they say about New York: it just never sleeps. The city is alive at night just as it is in the daytime with all the hustle and bustle of people and cars. Walking along the streets of times square means meeting people in outdoor bars, coming out of theater houses and a guy painted like the Statue of Liberty.

Like the ususal things tourists do when time runs short, we took the hop on and hop off bus. We didn't finish the lap after hopping off to the Rockefeller center then walking along 5th avenue until we made it to Central Park. We spent the rest of the afternoon taking naps under the tree shade and watch street performers. One of my goals when I get to New York is to go to Serendipity, hoping to find John Cusack but the skating rink from the last scene of the movie completely satisfied me already as I was ready to find our way home.
